FLEXrim Rubber Prototypes
FLEXrim™ Rubber prototyping is the latest manufacturing process that has been added to our process portfolio.
FLEXrim™ has been developed largely due to customer demand where we have been asked to supply large flexible elastomeric mouldings in low volumes and as a result we have developed this system. Tools are very similar to FASTrim™ but often simpler and lower cost and are ideal for low volume prototyping.
FLEXrim™ is a tooling system which allows the opportunity to produce prototype large rubber parts quickly and cost effectively.
FLEXrim™ enable parts to be made in flexible polyurethane elastomer up to 30kg in weight with sizes in excess of 2metres x 1metre. Wall thicknesses from 6mm up to 25mm are acceptable and localized changes in wall section and undercuts are also possible. The material we use exhibits a hardness of 79 (shore A) and is readily painted with flexible polyurethane paint to replicate in-mould textures.
Offering very high quality parts in short lead-time, FLEXrim™ is the ideal solution for rapid prototyping heavy sections in rubber.
