Vehicle Interior Trim Panels

Midas were requested to manufacture a complete set of GRP interior trim panels that could be used for data validation and design sign off. With 8 panels required, conventional GRP tooling would have been very costly.

The image shows our low cost mouldtool within CAD just before CNC machining began. Once the block was machined it was carefully prepared and sealed so that the parts could be made directly from it, thus saving significant cost when compared to the traditional route of making a pattern and then a GRP mould.

Lead-time was appx. 3 weeks from order to 1st off part.
